Dual Credit/Exceptional Admission Program
 

Dual credit is part of the Lone Star College System’s exceptional admissions program.

Overview

  • Especially designed for students currently attending high school (public, private or home school) classified as a junior or senior.
  • Students qualify to earn high school and college credit simultaneously while still in high school.
  • Dual credit students receive a 50 percent discounted tuition rate.  All other fees will be assessed at the regular rate.
  • State regulations allow a student to take a maximum of two (2) college credit courses per semester. Exceptions require approval by the college instructional Vice President or designee.
Interested?
  • Students who are interested in taking dual credit courses through Lone Star College–Tomball should talk to their high school guidance counselors to obtain approval.
  • Upon college admission through the exceptional admissions program, a student may enroll in college courses taught either at the high school or at Lone Star College–Tomball.
