What is Visual Communications?

An Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree combines commercial art and design with start-of-the art technology in a fast-paced and emerging field. Graduates will have the knowledge on how to generate imagery and learn to develop and design pieces of visual communication for marketing businesses and business products.

Specific applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, and Illustrator will be mastered enabling you to work on layout, paste-up, copy sizing, scanning, color separations and illustrations. You will have experience on both IBM-compatible and Macintosh computers.

In addition we are offering courses in Web Design which focuses the graphic design for the development of web marketing and sales rather than the printed medium. HTML is the foundation but computer software such as Dream Weaver is used in the courses.
