GED Review & Testing
The General Education Development Tests (GED) are an adult education service that enables a student to earn a certificate issued by the Texas Education Agency. The fee includes the cost of the certificate. It is recommended that you
register in person at least two weeks before the test date. The GED Tests are an adult education service that cannot be used to complete high school before age 17.
GED Review Class
The GED review class offers instruction in the content areas of the GED Test: the GED Mathematics Test, the GED Social Studies Test, the GED Science Test and the GED Test for Interpreting Literature and the Arts. A person must be 17 years of age to take this class. Student texts may be purchased through the College Bookstore. The GED test must be registered for separately.
GED Partial Test
This partial GED test is limited to persons who have successfully completed and passed all but one or two of the 5-part General Education Development Test (GED) series. To register, a person must provide proof of already having passed at least 3 parts of the GED test. The college where the partial test is taken must be sent the results of the official scores from the testing center where the test was taken.
Cost of Test
The fee includes the cost of the certificate. It is recommended that you register in person at least two weeks before the test date.

- Official proof for having withdrawn from school
- Texas Education Agency GED Withdrawal Form for 17-year old
- A signed parental permission form
Re-Testing
It is recommended that the examinee prepare for re-testing by studying at an adult education program or with a certified teacher. The examinee will receive a re-test letter that must be presented at the time of registration. Without a re-test letter, the State of Texas mandates a waiting period of 6 (six) months before re-testing.
No refund or rescheduling of the GED Test dates is granted if not approved by 5 p.m. the day prior to the original test date: ·
- The first rescheduling is at no charge
- The second rescheduling will be $15
- The third rescheduling will be the cost of the test and is the final rescheduling allowed for a six-month period
