Ways to obtain a library card:
Lone Star College–Tomball photo ID/library cards are made for Tomball and Willow Chase students, faculty and staff at the 2nd floor library circulation desk. You must show a driver's license or other picture ID.
Library cards (non-photo) are also issued at the Lone Star College–Willow Chase Center Library.
College faculty and students may also apply for a library card online (non-photo) and pick up the card at any Lone Star College System libraries or have it delivered by mail. It may take up to two weeks to get the card by mail.
With an Lone Star College System library card, you will be able to:
- Check out books, videos, CDs, DVDs & more
- Use items that instructors have put on reserve
- Access the databases with the barcode number on the card, even when off campus
- Request items from other libraries
- Renew items in the online catalog
- Add money to the card and use it as a copy/print card
- Check out materials at any Harris County Public Library or Montgomery County Memorial Library System location
Notify the circulation staff (phone: 832.559.4206) of any address/phone changes or lost/stolen cards. Borrowers are responsible for all materials checked out on their cards.

Public Library Card
Library cards from Harris County Public Library and Montgomery County Memorial Library System may also be used to check out materials.
If you are not a current Lone Star College System student, faculty, or staff, you may obtain a Harris County Public Library card at the circulation desk on either floor.
TexShare Card
A TexShare card allows you to borrow materials directly from other college, university, and public libraries that are members of the TexShare program.
College faculty, staff and students can apply for a TexShare card online or in person. It may take up to two weeks to recieve the card by mail.
Materials borrowed with a Texshare card must be returned directly to the lending library by the patron. Please visit http://www.texshare.edu/generalinfo/about/programs.html to get a list of TexShare member libraries and learn more details on the lending policies for each library.
