Professional Development Support
The PSC assists individuals and divisions and departments by supporting professional development in a variety ways that may include logistical coordination, registration and travel support, and offering special programs on campus.
Requesting PD Funds
The PSC occasionally offers financial support to divisions and departments in their professional development activities.
PSC funds are available only if divisional or departmental funds are exhausted. Please check with your division dean or DOM or department head before contacting the PSC.
To request funds from the PSC, send an email to christine.salmon@lonestar.edu with the following information:
Your name
Division / department
Telephone
Total amount requested
Breakdown (per person, for example) of amount requested
Purpose of request (conference attendance, for example)
Details of request (location, sponsoring organization, link to website, etc.)
Indication of approval from dean / department head.
