Consultations
PSC staff are available for individualized consultations with staff and faculty. Often, personalized assistance can be the most effective way to support and sustain successful work practices, to encourage the development of new skills, and to solve problems.
Consultations provide individualized help that is appropriate for the employee's level of skill and his/her own goals for development.
Development Consultations
PSC staff consult confidentially with employees to assist and support in their professional development.
Instructional and Classroom Consultations
The PSC welcomes both new and veteran faculty members to foster the development and improvment of instruction. Faculty can receive personal assistance to support their interests or to address issues and concerns relating to teaching. PSC staff are experienced in curriculum design, distance learning design, assessment and evaluation, technology integration.
Classroom Observations
PSC staff can conduct classroom observations to focus on a specific area of desired improvement. These observations are confidential and are not used as part of the Lone Star College System formal performance review process. The goal of the observations is to address issue of concern to faculty and to find solutions that improve teaching by the instructor and learning by the students.
