Services
The Lone Star College System Board of trustees considers economic development a major mission of the district. It long ago recognized economic and community development as an emerging role for all progressive community colleges. The district serves a large and extremely diverse region. It is an area that includes as many as a dozen independent school districts, portions of two counties, a population exceeding one million residents.
With twelve local chambers of commerce attempting to develop the economy of their individual communities, an obvious need emerged for some cooperation and consolidation of effort. Because of the well-established and recognized reputation of the community college as a valuable resource, and base of community leadership, the chambers of commerce and the communities they serve naturally turned to Lone Star College System.
Lone Star College–Tomball is quite ready to accept this opportunity. Services such as its program for Business and Corporate Training is designed to expand existing knowledge and skills, while focusing on career requirements and goals.
