Types of Faculty Learning Circles
* Cohort-based FLCs – address the teaching, learning, and development needs of a particular group of faculty. The curriculum shaped by the participants includes a broad range of areas and topics of interest to participants. Cohorts generally are 8-12 individuals.
* Topic-based FLCs – address a special or specific campus teaching and leaning need, issue or opportunity. Participants are drawn from across the disciplines to form a heterogeneous but collaborative group.
* Discipline-based topical FLCs - merges the cohort-based and topic-based FLCs. One example is the "Enhancing Online Teaching and Learning FLC for the Sciences."
