STOP! before you take that college placement test.
Why? Your placement test score determines if you are placed in college level or developmental classes.
• The Extended Learning Center has developed narrated PowerPoint prep session lessons to help you review, brush up or evaluate your reading, writing and mathematics skills.

• For a more indepth review, click on the Placement Prep Sessions link to access more detailed online narrated PowerPoint prep sessions for the ASSET, COMPASS or THEA tests describing the format, skills tested, available resources, test strategies and online practice tests for each placement test.
• Starting your review process early will give you enough time to practice so that you can feel confident of doing your best on the placement test you choose to take.
• Be realistic about how much time it will take you to review and practice. Set a reasonable date for when you will be ready to take the placement test.

Placement Prep Session Directions:
- Click on the ASSET, THEA or COMPASS Prep Session link
- To login to the prep session, enter your name and birthdate (ie: June 4, 1978 is 6/4/1978)
- View the narrated prep session
- Close the prep session and return to this page
- View another prep session or close this web page
- Review and then go to the Assessment Center, L201, to take the ASSET, COMPASS or Quick THEA placement test.
