Need to send an artilce that you found in our databases to your students to read? Here is how to do just that without having to go through the cumbersome process as before:
The “Persistent Links” (if it is an article from one of our EBSCO databases), or the “Document URLs” (if it is an article from one of our ProQuest databases) provided in the article citations, is all that you need.
This means those Links or the URLs are usable, exactly as they appear, from on-campus or off-campus computers. If a user follows one of those URLs from off-campus, he or she will simply be prompted to enter a valid Lone Star College System library barcode and then will be able to proceed directly to the article.
Just cut and paste these "Links" or the URLs to your syllabi, reference lists, study guides, “webliographies”, blogs, online/WebCT discussion forums, or elsewhere for your students to have easy access to these selected materials that you want them to read for a course.
For Gale databases, while displaying a page, just click the InfoMark link in the toolbar (found in the banner area at the top of the page) and a separate browser window will open, allowing you to copy and paste the InfoMark into another document, bookmark the InfoMark, and/or e-mail it.
Note: Anyone retrieving these articles from an off-campus computer will need a Lone Star College System library barcode.
